RHP Wells gets minor league deal with Reds (AP)

Right-hander Kip Wells has agreed to a minor league deal with the Cincinnati Reds that includes an invitation to spring training. The 32-year-old pitcher started last season with Washington, went 0-2 with a 6.49 ERA in 23 relief appearances and was released in July. The Reds signed him to a minor league deal and later promoted him to the majors.
